    L.L. Bean is currently recruiting for an Associate Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Finance team based in Freeport, ME. The Associate Financial Analyst ensures that maximum profitability and productivity is attained by preparing meaningful, financial information, reporting and analysis to support senior analysts and the finance management team.

    Responsibilities

    • Possess and apply fundamental financial knowledge (P&L, cash flow, and cost-benefit analysis).
    • Compile, analyze and maintain data relative to capital spending.
    • Assist in the operating budget process as necessary (i.e. template preparation, communication with areas, rolling up the budget, ad hoc requests from areas, etc.).
    • Perform less-complex detail oriented financial and cost analyses and begin to make recommendations as appropriate.
    • Demonstrate and maintain current knowledge of appropriate financial systems, techniques and procedures.
    • Manage multiple projects effectively, providing manager with frequent updates on work and assignments.
    • Ensure data integrity and delivery of high quality, timely financial information and analysis within the department and to other areas of the company.
    • Perform various other research and ad hoc project work and assume additional related responsibilities as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, financial applications and modeling tools.
    • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail are essential.

    Education: B.A./B.S. degree

    • Undergraduate/graduate coursework in accounting, finance, economics or mathematics.

    Experience: 1-2 years of accounting and/or finance experience
