Assemble and prepare bikes for sale. Mount and wax skis. Perform a variety of service functions on new and used bikes and skis. Through direct contact with customers provide exceptional service and share product and technical expertise to enhance the customer experience.
Apply shop standards in the assembly and repair of bikes and skis across the full product line.
Evaluate mechanical condition of product and estimate cost of repairs.
Meet or exceed shop production standards.
Complete paperwork accurately and fully (record parts used work performed detail of torque tolerance and standard procedures; complete pricing of job ticket) and process to next status or location.
Record and report any deficiencies not addressed by the repair work being done to the customer and or the appropriate leader.
Assist customer in the sale or repair process by sharing product and technical knowledge as appropriate.
Seek assistance from the Lead Service Writer bike/ski shop mechanic when problems outside the scope of your expertise arise.
Relay obstacles to timely and satisfactory completion of repair or service to the Lead Service Writer bike/ski shop.
Operate cash register as necessary.
Report or record replacement parts inventory and supply shortages to the Service Writer bike/ski shop. Maintain shop cleanliness including bench and common workspace.
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. Report any unsafe act or workplace condition to leadership or security as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated excellent mechanical skills with 2+ year bike mechanic experience.
Proven experience in the assembly and repair of bikes and skis required.
