ODS Sales Representatives have a passion for the outdoors and appreciation of L.L.BEAN'S OUTDOOR and HEALHTY LIFE STYLE, and COMMITMENT TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. ODS Reps have the opportunity to share with customers what they love while explaining the L.L.Bean ODS courses, trips and tours, encouraging participation.
Position Purpose: Provide information about Outdoor Discovery School (ODS) programs and register participants in the store. Transport participants to and from the event location where applicable. Represent L.L.Bean brand and provide excellent customer service to customers.
Responsibilities: " Meet and greet customers as they enter the store. Explain ODS courses trips and tours encouraging participation.
" Register customer for ODS Discover Series programs maintaining confidentiality of customer information.
" Review and explain the ODS agreement form to participants.
" Advise customers what to bring on Discovery Series Adventures.
" Advise customers on weather warnings and site-specific physical demands and challenges.
" Assist customers with phone registrations for ODS courses.
" As necessary operate a Point of Sale (POS) register
" Facilitate refunds to program participants as directed by the instructors (Maine stores only).
" Transport program participants by operating company vehicle in full compliance with motor vehicle regulations and company policy (not applicable in all locations).
" Administer adult/child CPR First Aid and AED if appropriate.
" Submit appropriate paperwork on a daily basis to supervisor.
" Know and follow all safety rules and procedures. Report any unsafe acts or conditions to the appropriate person.
" Perform additional related responsibilities as requested.

Skills and Qualifications: " Ability to drive a company vehicle and pass L.L.Bean driver license check (not applicable in all locations)
" High level of customer service skill and focus
" Strong communication skills
" Ability to resolve customer problems
" Experience in running a POS (Point of Sale) register helpful (Maine only)
" Solid understanding of L.L.Bean guarantee
" Knowledge of corporate policy and procedure
" Demonstrated ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships
" Comfort working in a fast paced environment
" Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude
" Ability to manage change in the workplace
" Willingness to work a variable schedule weekends and holidays
