In this 14-week entry-level program, you will work with a Store Manager and a team of trainers to develop the leadership and technical skills required of a Retail Manager through hands-on, experiential learning: service, talent development, brand presentation, and store operations. You’ll rotate through a robust training plan to develop expertise about L.L.Bean’s complex, growing retail business, from reporting to retail acumen, recruiting to hiring.
The Summit Program launches you into a full-fledged leadership role, where you’ll learn first-hand through various experiences how to merchandise, train and develop your direct reports, drive sales, make strategic decisions like a business owner, and influence business performance. You’ll interact with and serve our customers and develop leadership skills to lead, coach, develop, and inspire a team to provide L.L.Bean’s world-class service. Your trainers will support your accelerated development through constant coaching and feedback. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a Retail Manager role in a L.L.Bean store – you must have the ability to relocate to any of our markets upon program completion.
This training program will be offered in our Lynnhaven store located in Virginia Beach, VA starting June of 2018.
Health and Safety Requirement: Ensure compliance with the L.L.Bean comprehensive Health and Safety program by knowing and following all safety guidelines, policies, procedures and expectations. Take immediate and appropriate action to rectify any unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance of front line employees with comprehensive Health and Safety program.
